update KB2742597 keeps failing and my PC is running slow on start-up

Until very recently my PC has been running fine. I have notived that update KB2742597 continually fails with no error code. Around the same time my PC has benn very slow on start-up (15 mins) very unusual.

 

I have a DEll dimension 5150 running Win XP.
