How to stop Windows Update from repeating updates (KB2656351 and KB2600217)

Hello,

 

In the past 4 days, two updates have been repeatedly recurring in Windows Update on my laptop. The two updates that keep recurring are:

-         KB2656351: Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28570

-         KB2600071: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Reliability Update 2 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28936

I’ve checked back in my Windows Update history and over the past 4 days (4/12/2013 up until now, 4/16/2013) it says both of these updates were installed “successfully” 15 times each.

 

I’ve googled this issue and got hits at this Community:

These are the suggested solutions I‘ve tried which have all proven to be not working:

-         Downloading the updates through the above mentioned links and installing them manually.

-         Microsoft Fixit. I tried several links, which all provided different executables. I don’t know if it’s helpful, but here are their names:
