I keep getting emails from people in my contact list that did not send them. I think it may be a virus hooked to messenger which they may be using but I don't. They did not send the email themselves and don't know how they got sent. The emails say things

like ....Hey...I saw this online today and thought you might be interested in checking it out. Then a website address is provided. When I used hotmail someone suggested adding a contact to my list that was something like *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. This would make that contact

the first on my list and for whatever reason it worked. The contact is still there but since Outlook took over, I am getting the pseudo emails again.

Anyone know why?
