get "unknown problem" message going to Express update on Win Xp Sp3

Win XP SP3 on this computer. Have same on another computer which works to get updates.  Have issue going to Express Update or custom and get message of "the website has encountered an unknown problem then dumps me out. Looked up reasons in FAQ but none apply

here.

Restarted computer and no change.
