Win 8 (Pro) – Unable to download and install Window updates instantly and completely

Hi,

 

I am using a very slow broadband connection of 1 Mbps.  

When there are say 12 updates of 172MB for download and install at the Window Update Shortcut, it takes more than two hours to download and install but this process never complete after this period.

The percentage of completion always stuck at 12% only. I never face this problem when using Win 7 (Pro), the Window update download and installation is completed almost instantly.

May I know how to trouble shoot and fix this problem?
