Hey Everyone.

When it comes to technical things on a PC Im not the shapest tool in

the shed.(lol) Last night I experienced my first failure with System Restore.

I tried a few different dates and got the same response as Martin Sachs

(11/13/04) I read through the thread and it seems he understands it more then

I do! I am using regular XP home addition. Could someone list step by step

how to dis-able the system restore file, and then re-enabling it. I am not

even sure I would know how to find where those options are. Im not sure if it

will work as was noted by others. But Im willing to give it a shot. If you

all could give me a hand it would be appreciated. (It sure would beat having

to pay $60 bucks for microsoft to do it!) lol Thanks ahead of time!

Hi -

I don't know what the other thread referred to, but if you want to disable

system restore, do it in control panel | system | System Restore (make sure

you're in "Classic View" in control panel).

Whether this will resolve your issue I can't say, but you might post a new

message with your own issue/description/symptoms before proceeding.

Be as detailed as possible, and remember to use a meaningful subject line

(not something like"Help!!!" ....)
