Is there an EFS specialist in the house?

I have been having problems with efs. While trying to sort it out, I deleted

the administrator cert from the default domain policy. I have since tried to

restore the ddp using dcgpofix. It errored with the message that it could

not read EFS certificates from registry.pol. I am also getting application

errors every five minutes telling me that the registry.pol file for the ddp

in "invalid" (error id 1096, source userenv). See the Window Group Policy

message board - "unable to view / edit default group policy" from 03-Oct-07

for the whole gruesome tale.

The previous threads had gone quiet. I was looking for another point of view

or angle of looking at things. I didn't realize how much ground you guys

cover! A lot of us would be in big trouble without you! The issue was

finally resolved over the weekend, thanks for everything.
