Is there a tutorial anywhere that explains how to burn a data cd?

I am having trouble trying to burn a data cd from my documents that was originally created in Word.  The "help" that is offered does not make to much sense to me, and I'm wondering if there is an actual tutorial out there somewhere, preferably a video?
