Guest R. McCarty Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Sun has released a update to their Java Runtime to address recently discovered/documented security issues. Version 1.6.0 Update #3. Users can download from here: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp or test their existing Java install for the latest revision here: http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp *During install be sure to watch for the option to slip the Google toolbar add-on to the JRE update.

Guest R. McCarty Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Re: Sun Java Update ( jre1.6.0_3) I would recommend uninstalling any previous update package and then installing Update #3. Otherwise you'll have multiple entries in Control Panel's Add/Remove programs. Even if you upgrade over any existing version, the new release will re-enable the Java Console & Tray icon if you had them disabled in the previous Java Runtime.
