I am installing XP Media Edition OS on new HDD.  Seagate  Barracuda 500GB SATA6G.  I have reset BIOS to defaults.  CD ROM is 1st boot device.

The BIOS recognizes the HDD. 

 

When I press key to start installation, I get " setup is inspecting your hardware configuration". and back to beginning and starts all over.

If I miss key press, I get "NTLDR is missing.  Hit Cont/ ALT / Delete to restart".
