I have many updates that are unsuccessful, pressed the FIXIT tab which tells me that the problem is

I have many updates that are unsuccessful, pressed the FIXIT tab which tells me that the problem is solved and the next day its back again. When I turn the computer off it says installing 1 of 4, or 1 of 2 updates. But they are rarely installed.  Any ideas
