Hi,Since Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2709981);

  • IE will not access Internet
  • Firefox will not access https sites
  • Thunderbird will not collect mail (imap ssl gmail)

Google chrome does all of the above without problemsThis morning my computer updated (KB2840149) and the problems disappeared - unfortunately it re-appeared after the first reboot.I have tried;

  • disabling the firewall
  • disabling Microsoft Security Essentials
  • MicrosoftFixit50191
  • MicrosoftFixit50267

I have no other security software on my PC - all other computers / devices in my network work fine.Please can anyone help?Thanks in advance,
