windows vista printer is online but but won't print, completely baffled!

Completely baffled with this. I have a Brother MFP990 all in one station. It is connected wirelessly to my network. I have a laptop connected wirelessly to the network and it prints fine. My office computer, however will not print to it, even though it

seems to recognize it is there. The printer is communicating with myu computer and letting me know ink levels are low. My scanner is working perfectly and scans to the computer, no problem. But every time I try to print, the computer tells me the printer is

offline. I tried disabling Norton firewall, no difference. I tried uninstalling the software, and oddly enough, during the uninstall process, an outstanding print request actually printed! When I reinstalled, same problem. Any Ideas???
