Having Trouble with windows mail deleting messages

Hi,

It has just happened when I read a message in windows mail and exit the program when I return the message is deleted it does not go to the deleted items file it dissapears the same happens in the junk enail folder if I click not junk i loose it I cannot

find anything in options to stop this
