How do I do a manual scan on Windows RT

I  Have Microsoft Windows Surface RT.

 

1)  How do I run a manual scan?  When I use the Search "Charm" and look for Defender or Windows Defender,  it doesn't show up.   

 

2)  When I purchased my new tablet a few weeks ago, the salesclerk (BestBuy) said I didn't need to be concerned about purchasing an anti-virus, etc. because it was all built in the Surface RT. 

 

 

3)  Can the Windows Defender "icon" be added to the desktop?  If so, how?

 

OTHER QUESTIONS: 

 

4)  Toolbar.   I use them a lot!  To copy, cut, paste, etc.  especially emails. 

 

   Is there somewhere on the Surface RT to add all the things I want in a toolbar?

 

  This is certainly different from my laptop!   Hope I end up liking it!!!
