I have a Dell Inspiron  N5050 laptop and for the past few months it's been having trouble detecting and connecting to my wifi, but it can detect surrounding wifi. I have to wait five mins before it actually finds my wifi, but then it won't connect to it

for another 2 mins due to "a problem with the access point." Then after that it connects to the wifi and works fine. Sometimes it will detect and connect to my wifi after the laptop is turned on, but it takes 5 mins for the laptop to actually connect to the

wifi.  I need a permanent solution to this problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled my network adapter. I unplug and plug the router. I went to power management and unchecked "Allow this computer to turn off device to save power." I switched my power options

to high performance. I disabled my anti virus software. My wireless driver is updated. After doing all these things, my laptop is still having a problem. The router is working fine. My iphone, kindle, and my brother's windows 8.1 Dell laptop can connect to

it.  What do I do?
