I am having a problem with the "Network and Sharing Center" "Control System".  I have a desktop computer with Vista Home Basic installed with Service Pack 2 installed and all the updates.  My problem in the N&S Center is the "radio buttons" that are supposed

to allow Network sharing(On) or not(Off) of printers, files, etc(6 buttons in all).  I have been operating for a very long time with all the "buttons" Off, but very recently I have updated my computer system(s), router, and printer to get them all on the network.

When I try to move any of the 6 buttons to the On position, the answer comes back:

"The specified service does not exsist as an installed service"

First of all, if the "radio buttons" are shown there, the software controls should be installed to allow changes from On to Off.  Has anyone else had this situation, and if you did, what were you able to do to fix it.  This problem

is raising "havoc" with my network.  One of the problems is, I cannot get the wireless printer connected to this computer, but there are other "network" problems as well.

Anyone having answers, please help.

Don
