My Windows XP desktop computer won't recognize my Sharper Image Camcorder.

I have one of those Sharper Image camcorders that you have to hold manually, it takes crappy quality video and has a built in USB drive to connect to the computer. Suddenly, for no reason, my Windows XP won't recognize it, at all. I tried powering it down,

restarting it, all the different ports, but nothing. I have important videos on that thing and I need help.
