November 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 Article ID: 3000850The update causes problems with the ActiveX COMCTL32.OCX and possibily MSCOMCTL.OCX. Specifically, the TREEVIEW functions provided by the code fail.In 2012, this problem originated and could be was fixed by the procedures described in the following article.  http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2597986 The article says, " . . .you may experience the same issue when you install an update for the Office

which is released after the MS12-060." and . . .It has reoccurred. However, the fixes in the 2012 article do not work in 2015. Uninstalling the update solves the problem. Treeview works again. However, it is not always possible to uninstall this massive rollup. In such case, a restoring restore point prior to the update may

help, but this has not been tested. Prodict id:00258-61774-39204-aaoem
