windows vista unable to activate vista after recovery disc

have a toshiba satellite computer given to me by a relative that wouldnt start up & needed recovery disc

all that went well

 am unable to activate windows & the product key listed is wrong (NOT ENOUGH ALPHANUMERIC CHARACTERS)

the right one on the bottom of the laptop of 25 alphanumeric characters is supposed to be correct is it not?

entered it & got the ERROR MESSAGE

am not going to try to activate this version of windows just to see if it will lock up on me in 2 days

have already gone to Toshiba & entered the correct info yet got error messages

 

so why should i try to activate this version whatever it might be as long asthis laptop works????

the recovery discs were purchased from someone on ebay for $20
