Can't detect or print to my network printer.

My old laptop (using Vista Home Premium) had no problem detecting and installing both of my printers and would print fine. The "new to me" notebook I now have (using Vista Home Premium) will

NOT detect and install my HP printer or my Epson PictureMate. On this notebook I have noticed that there is no "Ports" listing in DM and I'm thinkin' there should be. I've been wrestling this issue for two weeks, trying different things to

fix the issue to no avail. Please help if you guys (and gals!) can. Thanks in advance! If more info is needed, I will be happy to provide whatever is needed.
