Received a windows auto update. Next time turning on computer got "startup" failure message It tried to troubleshoot problem, could not. Went to system restore. This process repeated twice more and then I got on.  Received another windows auto updated (16

items) and all went well. Received another single update item and the whole process repeated itself.

I thought I should update my computer and I receieved the following message

Windows Backup failed while determining libraries location of one of the users included in backup. Details: BitLocker Drive Encryption cannot be used because critical BitLocker system files are missing or corrupted. Use Windows Startup Repair to restore

these files to your computer.

This just takes me back to where I was/am with the updates.

How do I recover missing or corrupted files?

Are there any ideas as to what I should do?

Thanks in advance for your help

Rick
