windows 8 Windows 8.1 Update Problem

I keep getting a notice that I have 54 Important Updates available, and 5 optional.

I go ahead and hit the inatall button.

 

It says it is downloading the updates, and them it says it is installing.

 

After a time I get a blue screen with the message it was unable to install the updates, and was removing them, after what seems like a 1/2 hour, it finally

restarts to my desktop.

 

I must have tried updating at least 5 times, and each time the same results.

 

The weard thing is that MS Office updates are coming through just fine.

 

HELP is needed.
