Error while login with new AD account in windows 8 client as "User must change password at next logo

Server Windows Server 2003 Standard R2

Client Side: Windows 8

 

 

 

The problem:

 

I create a new user and leave the "User must change password at next logon" ticked. When I try to login with the newly created user I get an error saying "User must change password at next logon" after ptoviding the new password.

 

 

At this stage if I uncheck the "User must change the password at next logon", then the user can login fine.

 

Can anybody help me. Please let me know any OS compatibility issue between the server and cleint OS.
