I want to clean install a better OS such as Windows 7 Pro 64 bit from Vista 64 bit but I'm not sure what the correct way to back up my files should be, windows easy transfer or back up and restore. I would like to keep MS Office and all the files associated

with it, not just the files only and I would like to keep other programs such as Roxio burning software, hardware drivers like my ATI Radeon HD graphics card software, Dell system drivers for other hardware like the monitor, hard drive, keyboard, webcam, printer, etc.

and Dell software like Dell media player including other Dell related software as well. Of course I want to keep music, documents, videos, etc. but the only problem is, I need to do a clean install, erasing everything; I thought one of these back up methods

would keep all original programs, not just files, document, videos, etc. and transfer them to my new OS without having to reinstall software which is to old to find and download now a days... I'm confused.
