Lots of subfolder to \Windows in XP ???

I have an old pc with some software disigned to run ONLY on XP !

 

I notice there is a lot of subfolders in Windows nemed something like "$NtUninstallMSCompPackV1$" and there is 100's of them !

 

There are some files and folder in the one I have looked through and I beleave they are "left overs" from updating Windows back in time.

 

Can these folders be deleted ?
