Hello!

A month ago, I booted to Ubuntu using Unetbootin. During the installation process, it said cannot install Ubuntu in this drive, so I clicked format, and viola, everything was gone! Then, I installed Windows 7 from a CD that was lying in my drawer. In Windows

7, I downloaded a Windows 8 core image (x64) from getsoft.com, which turned out to be Windows 8 Pro (after installing it). Now, my laptop didn't come with Windows 8 PRO, so I couldn't use the method mentioned in superuser.com/questions/697253/clean-install-windows8-1-or-windows-8-from-oem-key. Therefore, (the

Title).

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: I created the Installation media for Windows 8.1 with the help of the Media Creation tool. In the setup, when I enter the OEM key (embedded in the BIOS), the setup says "This key doesn't work with this edition of Windows. Try a different key".
