windows vista Was it a scam?

I'm trying to find out if Boss Tech is a scam? Yesterday my computer locked and a message appeared that I had a virus and to call 855-602-6550. So, stupid me I did and my credit card was charged $200 to unlock my computer, repair and clean out the junk!

(And I have 9 months of unlimited support.) He sounded legitimate. (I know I probably should have called Microsoft or someone else but I really didn't know what to do at the time!) And I had my computer serviced with the Geek Squad last month but I was still

having problems with it. Boss Tech told me that Geek Squad outsources the repairs to other countries, like India and they don't do a good job of taking out all of the junk! (Boss Tech said I still had messages since 2012!) My computer seems to be working

better now! But was I scammed? Or is Boss Tech a legitimate and good company? So, now what do I do? Thanks. Connie
