Hi,

I have an old Windows Vista pc, and I was about to get rid of it as I use my Windows 7 laptop all the time - however I have started to teach myself Umbraco CMS, which is a .NET Content Management System. As a result I was thinking of turning my old Vista

Desktop into a server of such connected straight to my router. I have had no problem with Vista, but it is no use at networks, and remembering network usernames and passwords etc.

I do not want to spend a lot of money, but wondering what is the best way of getting this updated to Windows 7, 8 or to a version of Windows Server OR is there anything else you could recommend for me to be able to create website with Umbraco (.NET platform)

and IIS (free enterprise is good enough)

Old pc spec is more than enough and from memory is high enough spec for Windows 7 or 8......

Any ideas?
