There's an old saying among the people who actually have to fix things, it's aimed specifically at those engineers that like to change things.

"If it works, DON'T FIX IT!".

The latest update to MSE has changed the way updates are done and this is wreaking havoc with my firewall (Private Firewall 7.0) because instead of a known application (MSE) repeating a known task (updating the sig file) every few days it creates a whole

new (hidden) executable and then tries to open several new processes with it that are unknown to the firewall. (yes my firewall monitors processes as well as internet activity)

MSE used to work just fine, now that it's been changed, it's FUBAR. Ironically it was obviously not tested in the more secure environments.

Is there any chance of getting this software repaired so that it functions like it used to before you "fixed it"?
