Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 RE: Start Menu Fades into View - I don't want that The "fade effect" would likely be video card,memory (or lack of),or page file settings.Try run,type:DXDIAG Run the Direct X tests,set page file (virtual memory) to "let system adjust" instead of custom its now in,add memory if not up to par, replace video card if needed or delete boards video if now running. Select the Appearance tab, then click the Effect... button in the lower right.
