Guest Peter F Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Hi All, I have purchased a second hand 1600 series Cisco Router. I am attempting to recover the password but to no avail. What am i missing - i must be dumb or stupid or both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have an xp operating system. The password recovery instructions advise me to switch on the router and press cntl-break so that i can get into the ROM to change the password. The question is what/where/who/ is the Break key??????????? There is no Break key on the keyboard so i am assuming that it is only a known key to cisco administrators? Or am i being stupid? Any help to identify this key combination would be greatly appreciated. Regards. -- Flinty
