Guest Paule Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Hi, I appear to have completely lost the right-click function on my PC. Affects all programs & remains even after changing mouse, uninstalling & re-installing mouse drivers. Anyone any ideas please? -- Paul

Guest jon Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 RE: Loss of right-click function Also it could be your mouse button that has been missed up. A friend of mine had a mouse that his kid spilled tea on and it got into to the mouse it self and wouldn't work right, I had to clean it out and it worked just fine since. It could be the swicth in the mouse that finally went bad. Just get another one if thats the case. These ideas are here if the one Devil_himself gave doesn't work. Guest Paule Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 RE: Loss of right-click function Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, didn't have a corresponding entry in that part of the registry. Any other thoughts? Also, have tried 3 different mice - unlikely all have gone US at the same time (especially as thy're fine on other PCs) -- Paul "Devil_Himself" wrote: > Start > Run > regedit > navigate to > > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies > > On the Right Pane .. Guest dobey Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Re: Loss of right-click function Have you tried a system restore point to a time when you had the right-click function. I had something similar happen with IE ages ago, and that was the quick fix. Guest Paule Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Re: Loss of right-click function Thanks - I've tried that too - no joy so far. Problem started just over 2 weeks ago & I've been away on holiday for all the intervening period. Expect I'll track it down when I've a bit more time. -- Paul "dobey" wrote: > Have you tried a system restore point to a time when you had the right-click > function. > > I had something similar happen with IE ages ago, and that was the quick fix. > > "Paule" <Paule@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:9E721E46-0C94-4193-9775-42A533650A8B@microsoft.com... > > Thanks for the suggestions. > > Unfortunately, didn't have a corresponding entry in that part of the > > registry.
