Guest falcios Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 I know there is a key or key combination you press before Window fully loads to stop startup programs from loading. This is only temporary so I am not looking to remove any programs from the startup folder. Does anyone know what the keys are? Thanks.

Holding down the Shift key will prevent items stored in the Startup folder from launching. Keep in mind that programs that are launched at startup through registry keys will not be affected. Note: If you have your system configured to automatically logon a user account, holding the Shift key down will disable this feature. As soon as you enter your logon credentials, go back to holding down the Shift key. Good luck Nepatsfan
