Andrea31 Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Apologies if I've posted in the wrong section, but I AM worried there is some kind of virus, etc. . . . Has happened a couple of times now, where I am using the net with no probs but then all of a sudden, any key I press just brings up the Control F "Find" box, but just on the internet and am able to type in Word and to type my password to get into the internet once logged out. Logging out didn't help so had to re-start pc twice to get it to stop and was getting a bit worried! My pc security didn't pick anything up, and afterwards I did an update and scan but nothing found. I only did that ATF Cleaner, Malware and SuperAnti Spyware thing a couple of days ago aswell as I do that every now and then. Anyone have any idea why this happened? Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Hi Andrea Have you tried another keyboard to see if this happens again? It may well be that you have a faulty Ctrl key that gets stuck occasionally. Quote
Andrea31 Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 Hi Andrea Have you tried another keyboard to see if this happens again? It may well be that you have a faulty Ctrl key that gets stuck occasionally. Hi, thanks for replying. Just didn't occur to me of possible keyboard issue as it only happened whilst on internet and was able to type in Word and also able to type my password to log onto net so seemed linked to the internet somehow. Also, it happened whatever letter I pressed, not just the 'F' key . . .. . . bit strange . . . . Quote
