"The power button is changes from red to orange and then red and then green repeatedly on itself and it's does'nt stop. What can i do? "

- this I found when looking for a solution on line - more or less word for word what my girlfriend has asked me. She cannot google it or do anything as has no monitor and at this time of night will need to wait until tomorrow now.

To me, it sounds terminal - but that is merely speculation - I know it is virtually impossible to speak remotely and talk her through it - even with my limited knowledge.

She's scared to get another monitor in case it is a waste of monry.

Any advice?

Steve

Hook another monitor up to it via a mate if you can Steve and try that mate

As luck would have it, the same thing had happened a few weeks before and my spare was on my dad's machine. Fortunately, my other other half's monitor "sorted itself out" and is working again.

A replacement monitor is ordered for my old man, so there will be again a spare monitor. Strange how it happened but frustrating as I was not there to see it and when I did get there everything was working again.

Oh the joy of it all:D
