if you build systems often enough, having the full sp3 installer handy

instead of fetching 80mb worth of updates from WU everytime sure saves you a

lot of time.

 

so yeah, i'd be waiting for sp3 too for that reason.

If you build systems often enough, you should learn to integrate patches

into your installation media of choice, setup unattended installatrions and

maintain them and/or utilize an imaging application to do your installs for

you...

 

Then SP3 would not be important for that reason - but for the few new

features it may provide...
