Turn Off to Install Updates - constant

I have turned off to install an update at least 20 times and I always get the

same message after rebooting.

I have no Idea what this update is but it has been present for quite a while.

It does go throught the "Installing Update 1 of 1" and the do not turn off

screens, but it appears that it does not install.

Try the following:

1. Boot into safe mode.

2. Find the folder named Software Distribution.

3. Rename SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistribution.old OR Delete

all its contents (FLUSH it !) Reboot.

4. Run windows update
