usb error message connecting at high speed

The device manager does indicate in the last line of Universal Serial Bus

controllers

 

VIA USB Enhanced Host Controller

 

but still getting message when plugging in any USB devices (flash memory.

external drive, etc)

 

Running Windows XP Pro SP2

Hi,

 

What motherboard or chipset is it? If you don't know, grab CPU-Z 1.41

and check on the Mainboard tab when you run it.

 

XP SP2 should be recognizing it properly but you might want to get the

VIA Hyperion Pro Chipset driver v5.13A to make XP properly recognize

something that's not working quite right with SP2 alone.
