Guest sgopus Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 RE: Safe to use Ad Banner Killer? look at getting a flash blocker, like spyware blaster, in the tools section you can check to block flash, (A warning, if you access sites like banks that require flash, this will block them from viewing properly). also I have an OLD version of adshield, it also can selectively block banner ads. also KAS Internet security has a blocking feature, it is rather complicated however. I used to use that feature in Spywareblaster, but there are times I want Flash enabled. A better and faster method is to use TurnFlash: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/tflash2.html And to slick1: You may find a Hosts file useful, too: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm or http://someonewhocares.org/hosts/ You may also want to check out one of these programs: Proxomitron Privoxy WebWasher
