Hi Bob

Do you mean you would like to have 2 browsers open to look at each one or in say a word or excel doc?

If browsers then hit the Maximise/Restore down button at top right then extend the mouse into any corner until it becomes an arrow then resize the window to your liking, hold down the left mouse button on the title bar to move the screen around.

Then open the other browser and do the same.

This is one of those times when I can't tell if the problem is solved or not.

You should be able to follow the procedure described by Wolfey for 2 seperate excel spreadsheets. Open one, resize it , then open another and do the same.

If one has excel document 1 open then you simple click on File to open another excel document and resize it, the first will not close.

Here are 2 excel documents open on my Desktop.

Which version of Office are you using mate?

I'll move this to Business Apps also.

Just for the sake of clarity this is what it should look like in XP in a full excel window. Of course you can size it to be side by side instead of over and under.

Hi Bob, I hope the above advice is what you need and can get you sorted. However, I notice from your signature you are using a lot of what we consider outdated security. In other words, not as good as it once might have been. Please have a look at our recommendations for much more superior security ware.

If you don't mind paying a small fee the Eset NOD32 Security Suite

is one of the best available, however all the free recommendations are also the best available of freeware.

Following on from your PM Bob, I would really advise installing either Avast or Avira, and getting rid of AVG. AVG has become more trouble than it is worth both in terms of being top heavy in its use of your resources, and therefore slowing your machine down. A good anti-virus shouldn't do that. Also although Spybot S&D is still reasonable, it has been well overtaken by Malwarebytes and Superantispyware in terms of what they can deal with, so even if you wish to keep Spybot, do install at least Malwarebytes antimalware.

For realtime protection I recommend Spywareblaster, it works quite happily in the background along with your firewall. Also recommending Comodo for that purpose against your present ZoneAlarm.

Remember, those who write the malware and other nasties dont stop, they constantly move on. We should also move on and keep on top of it to be safe.
