Help... Just installed cod4 and related patches. tried running game, in all the setup screens there are no problems but when game opens in full screen the graphics drop to 800x600 resolution and the frames seem very jumpy, sound is fine and continuous. Game controls very slow to respond at times, but speed up when not much happening on screen (no movement etc) I have installed all latest drivers for graphics card, but no luck. there is slight improvement when i restart pc after switching off all startup progs in msconfig but not brilliant. checked sys min requirements against game all seem ok but not sure about graphics card spec, do i need to upgrade....

I am running :

E-system ACPI multiprocessor PC

Intel Pentium 4 CPU @2.93Ghz (two stick i think)

ATI Radeon xpress 200 series graphics card (integrated)

Hope you can help, not sure what other spec info to give, but if you need it let please let me know...

Thanks

No onboard graphics are good enough to run games like Crysis or COD4.

Check and see how much RAM you have in system.

You may need to drop the resolution as low as it goes and see if that improves.

Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)

Asus P5K premium black pearl

4GB OCZ Reaper 8500

260GTX

I get the same problem when I try to play garrys mod 9 (not as high-end as COD 4) on my PC and I can confirm that it is a graphics card issue as I have 2 GHz (single core) processor and 1 GB RAM (DDR2), both of which are more than substantial for the game, but only a 64MB intel onboard graphics card.

Thanks

Many thanks for your help, have installed a nvidia geforce 9400 and it runs perfectly, more by luck than judgement though as the installation instructions are a bit vague at best. Any ideas as to what the best resolution to run at is?

Cheers :D
