NT Backup log empty

I have a differential backup running overnight in task scheduler. The job

was created in NT backup and has been running fine. The backup is backing up

to a remote PC that is part of the domain and the backup folder is mapped as

a drive on the server being backed up. I have checked the backup log today

and it is empty, but I see the backup file on the remote PC. I have the

Backup Log tab set to "Summery". Any ideas why the log is not getting

written to? Thanks.

This happens when the backup job is still running, which

in turn can happen when it waits for some user input.
