Guest needlittlehelpwithSMS Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Hi, can somebody please help me out? I have a Windows 2003 Std install CD. I changed the boot sequence to CD rom, but it still doesnt boot up from the CD. The CD rom works fine. I'm able to run the setup if I put in the Win XP install CD in. Is there any way to run the windows 2003 server CD as the auto run option during POST? Please advice. Thanks!

Is it an original one ? boot sector would be missing -- Cordialement, Mathieu CHATEAU English blog: http://lordoftheping.blogspot.com French blog: http://www.lotp.fr "needlittlehelpwithSMS" <needlittlehelpwithSMS@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B6413FEF-820D-4DFD-A5E2-2D1062A1EEEF@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > can somebody please help me out? > I have a Windows 2003 Std install CD. Guest Mathieu CHATEAU Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Re: Windows 2003 install CD doesnt auto-boot up you need the bootsect, but i don't know where to get the 2003 version. Better to burn again the CD, making a true copy. -- Cordialement, Mathieu CHATEAU English blog: http://lordoftheping.blogspot.com French blog: http://www.lotp.fr "needlittlehelpwithSMS" <needlittlehelpwithSMS@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BB01696C-DC02-4DD5-97C1-C7C53CE35B74@microsoft.com... > > > "No, it's not the original CD. Are you sure it is a legitimate copy? -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar http://www.dts-l.org "needlittlehelpwithSMS" <needlittlehelpwithSMS@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BB01696C-DC02-4DD5-97C1-C7C53CE35B74@microsoft.com... > > > "No, it's not the original CD.
