chrispjplumbing Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I put a new HDD into my HP laptop but I cant install windows it keeps comeing with error no hard disk found? I have sanatized the disk (sanatized in whats in HP bios settings)? I think it meas to clean? but anyway the disk is noted in the bios so why does windows tell theirs no disk? any help? please Quote
RandyL Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 In the BIOS change the boot order to boot from the optical drive first rather then the hard drive first. Save the changes and exit the BIOS. Install Windows from the disks. Your getting the error because there is nothing on the hard drive to find until you install Windows. Quote We are all members helping other members.
