Hey this isnt a big problem, but it gets quite annoying, with my new PC that I ahve just built, sometimes, well, most time, when I press the power switch, first of all, there can sometimes be a delay of upto 3 seconds, before anything happens, and at other times, it's instant.

Also, sometimes the HDD and power lights come on, the fan starts but then 1/2 a second later, it all stops and goes off again.

Any idea why? It's kind of like, it's not getting enough power to start up correctly everytime...

Its fine Matt - its just the count on the MOBO as you are overclocking it takes longer to configure.

When the BIOS posts, you will notice that you get a count of 2 or 3 as opposed to 1

(edit) You may get people going ARGH thats not right - but trust me, its fine.

Lol okay :P

It was still the same when it was at stock speed though, as I said it's not a big problem, just happy to know it's not something to be concerned about :D

And I haven't noticed the change in the count, but then again I don't pay attention until I see my desktop :P

If you are having an issue - it will be because the power fluctuates on the Q6600 GO stepping anyway, when you open task manager and see what the cores are doing - they will be running at a reduced rate - until you open a game or CPU intensive program and then all the cores fire into life - as a result of this some MOBO's do have an issue with the voltages and take time to adjust at the post.

As for not noticing until the log on - what are you doing man lol - your timings could be out, you could be running in single channel mode

It's ok - just pay attention - and where are the pics?? :(
