Start answering the following questions to yourself:

 

- Why do I need one now

- What kind of RAID / ...is a RAID

- What kind of Harddrives do I want to use

- How many Harddrives do I have for a RAID

- What Interface do the Harddrives have

- Do I need a RAID controller

- Does the controller fit into the Server

- What do I want to store on the RAID system

 

Please feel free to ask again after the questions are answered.
