SNMP error after installing DHCP on Server 2003 STD DC

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hello,

I installed DHCP server on a pair of DCs runing server 2003 standard.

The DHCP service itself is working fine, but both machines logged the

following error:

Event Type: Warning

Event Source: SNMP

Event Category: None

Event ID: 1101

Date: 10/10/2007

Time: 3:57:45 PM

User: N/A

Computer: <removed>

Description:

The SNMP Service is ignoring extension agent key SOFTWARE\Microsoft

\DhcpMibAgent\CurrentVersion because it is missing or misconfigured.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Error 1101 is normally a fatal error, but I looked and the SNMP

service is still running. Google/Microsoft turn up nothing. Safe to

ignore?
