Guest Steve V Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Can anyone help me? My computer won't let me write cd r's or dvd r's. When I insert a blank dvd or cd, windows asks me if I want to open the writeable cd folder or not. I click to open the writeable folder and it opens as normal but, when I drag or try to paste a file into the folder, it just says it experienced a problem and do I want to try again. Also, I don't get the option under My Computer to right click on the CD drive and select format; also if I explore the blank cd it just displays as 'cd drive D:' - it's as though the computer just won't recognise that there's a writeable cd in the drive. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I'm running XP Home with the latest updates and have just flashed my DVD RW drive to the latest firmware.
