Hello,

do you have another DC ? Does it hold FSMO role ?

No you won't. You will need to first demote this DC and cleanup AD.

Re: replace a dc

HEllo you works a lot for me :-)

On my site, i have 2 DC and the DC i wanna replace host all roles and i

wanna that the new dc host all the role too

I can temporaly migrate all the roles to the other DC, but not for a long time

so if i understand well, because he is a dc i cannot replace like that

i should :

1) transfert the role to the other dc

2) demote the dc

3) replace it

4) promote the new server as dc

5) transfert the role

is it good ?

Re: replace a dc

Yes.

Do not forget the DNS and Global Catalog.

Is the second server also DNS server and defined through DHCP & static

config on domain members ?

By the way, Let the second DNS & Global catalog for always.
